FULL REVIEW | Milani Conceal and Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation and Concealer

Now I might be a little late on the bandwagon. But I have seen a fair few people rave about this foundation. Now I am all about full coverage so was keen to try this. And in comparison to some foundations, the fact this was around the Β£10 mark, was amazing!

I bought this on Beauty Bay when they had their sale on. And was intrigued by the fact it claims to work both as a foundation and concealer. My first impression, is it going to be too thick? Too cakey? Like a concealer can sometimes be. Or is it going to be too liquidy and sheer like a foundation in comparison to a concealer. I was very very curious to see how this bad boy would work!

The shade selection of this was pretty thorough. It goes through fair-light-medium to some deep tones. But there could be a few more variations deeper and darker tones! In my opinion. And maybe a super super pale one! As even the one I purchased, was still a little too dark for me! Right tone, just needed to be couple shades lighter! But I very much appreciated that they are working for pale girls with yellow tones as so many cheaper foundations are so pink!

The texture of this foundation is thick for a foundation but thin like a thin concealer. It is very strange, but it seems to work well. Due to this, it takes a little bit more time to blend in. I used my Morphe Y6 brush and patted the foundation on first, and then buffed it so it could melt into my skin. Which usually works well for me. The coverage of this was exceptionally surprising. They weren’t kidding when it came to full coverage! That is not a lie. It very much made me look like a wax model! The finish was more on the dewy than the matte side of a Satin finish. So gives you a healthy glow, without your skin looking tacky! But when it dries down fully, it mattifies more. And I found towards the end of the day it almost cracked on my cry patches around my nose. And haven’t worn it for a full day since! So I therefore think, this would be ideal for an oilier complexion.

Boom, look at that coverage. Not a freckle on my nose to be visible! All in all, I didn’t like this foundation as much as I hoped I would. I would wear it again. But I would have to wear it on a night out, over in all day. I could definitely feel it on my face, not that it wasn’t comfortable, but I don’t like that normally day to day. I would rather something like Fenty Pro Filt’r foundation or the Ordinary Coverage Foundation if I wanted a full coverage day look! However, that might change if I get an immense breakout and I want something with intense coverage that I know will not smear once powdered! The coverage of this foundation is phenomenal. Very impressed indeed. However the consistency isn’t my favourite. And the way it looked as it went through out the day left more to be desired.

I hope you enjoyed this first impression! What do you think of this foundation?

  1. […] Milani Conceal and Perfect Foundation – I didn’t think this was the worst foundation. Coverage is amazing and it makes you look like a wax model. But the way it feels on my skin I really didn’t like! I found it way too thick and I could feel it clinging to me. Not nice! I have a full review of this on my blog too, so I’ll link that here too! https://insidethemakeupdrawer.wordpress.com/2018/12/20/full-review-milani-conceal-and-perfect-2-in-1… […]
