2018 Skincare Favourites

This year I really got into skincare. Dare I say before I was just a micellar water and go girl. That was it. But I’ve really gotten into taking care of my skin. After all it is the blank canvas I have to work with, I want to be able to have the best canvas for my looks! The following items I have used non stop all year! And have really enjoyed using them! Keep reading to find out why I enjoyed them so much!

Facial Mist

Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Rose – Now I never used to like the smell of rose, I found it like an old lady scent. But this spray is the most refreshing, delicately scented spray! It leaves a film of hydration (not in a gross way) that leaves my skin feeling boosted! They do other scents too that I really enjoy but I think this one has got to be my favourite!

The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter – I have very dehydrated skin, and it soaks up any moisture it is given. This butter is my skins equivalent of a G&T and it laps up all the moisture in such a grateful way…you can almost hear it say thank you. It is an oilier consistency so but I love that as it leaves a layer of moisture on my skin even after my skin drinks it up! It also removes makeup (and waterproof mascara) like a DREAM!

Eye Cream

Clinique Pep Start Eye Cream – This year I really got into adding more important steps to my skin care. And I was noticing some very slight thin lines under my eyes, so thought I would nip them in the bud and I really like the consistency of this. It is lightweight, soaks in instantly. It feels hydrating and really does the job for a younger skin!

Makeup Remover

Clinique Take The Day Off – Okay so I like all of the things from the Take The Day Off Zara he but specifically the water. I literally have to place the dampened cotton pad over my eye and my mascara (waterproof) melts off! It is divine! It makes removing my makeup so easy, so I can invest the time saved into looking after my skin in other ways!

Your Good Skin Balancing Skin Concentrate – this kind of works well as both my moisturiser and serum! It is a lightweight lotion like texture and soaks I go the skin so beautifully, leaving my skin plump and nourished! It also smells like violets! Which is my favourite floral smell! It is just gorgeous! And I’ve noticed such a difference in my skin since using this p. My t-zone gets less shiny, my dry patches are visibly reduced and the over all texture has become more even!

Face Mask

The Creme Shop Pink Lemonade Face Mask – Sheet masks in general have been a massive winner for me this year! They have helped my migraines, they have helped me take some time to relax and enjoy some me time, they have improved my skins hydration and skin tone! And these smell TO DIE FOR! If you’re from the UK you know we have a coffee shop brand called Costa. And they did some Raspberry Lemonades a couple of years ago and this smells exactly like they taste! It’s crazy!

And those are my skin care favourites of the year! What has been your stand out product of the year in terms of skin care?

Thank you for reading!
