Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick #5 | Scorpio

I bloody love these liquid lipsticks and I am collecting these in practically every colour (almost). So thought I would do posts swatching these on my lips and giving individual reviews on every colour!! I have a full review on these which I shall link here > https://insidethemakeupdrawer.wordpress.com/2017/10/22/full-review-jeffree-star-velour-liquid-lipsticks/

How did I come across this shade? Well I was round a friends house and she was wearing the most unique but flattering colour. A muted greige purple! And I asked her what she was wearing and it was this little gem…so like I usually do after seeing her, it went on beauty bay…and made a lil purchase!

This shade I can see being universally flattering. It’s a shade that isn’t supposed to enhance features, it’s supposed to be a statement. It is deep enough yet grey enough to look right. It is very pigmented, and this look only took one coat, which is super impressive! It dries down to a comfortable matte finish and doesn’t crumble off. Only problem I found with this shade was it doesn’t have as much longevity in the tube, as in shelf life. It dries out in the tube very quickly, and as it is a newer one, I’m already needing to consider buying a new one as it has crusted in the tube instead. So just a heads up! I find it doesn’t bother me too much, as it’s such a lush colour, it’s worth repurchasing! And it isn’t like it lasts 2 weeks, it just lasts probably a couple months less that usual. If you use this more often than me, you might use it up before it dries!

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Thank you for reading! 💛
