Products I Regret Buying #2

If you know you, you probably know that I am an annoyingly positive person. And with that comes Sunshine, rainbows and glitter! And most of the time I feel really good about a lot of products because I am quite frugal and will only buy products I have researched. But sometimes…they don’t work out. So I thought I would show you the ones I’m getting rid of. Be that through donation, giving to family or chucking it in the bin if it’s nearly empty! Because yes, even if I don’t like a product, I will use it up if I can, because I hate wasting it! But if it can go to a better home, then great!

Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer – When I went to Florida I genuinely thought I had got the Shape Tape but I didn’t know that was what it was called. I just saw creaseless and thought that was the one. Oh how wrong I was. I think the name of this product could be sarcastic ‘cos boy, she thicc! So thick that it settles, creases and cakes. It takes ages to squeeze it out due to its thickness! It’s just a horrible concealer! It feels oily, claggy and like clay!

MAC Waterweight SPF 30 Foundation – I saw Wayne Goss talk about this, and I think his advice is golden so I knew I was in for a good’n. But ooo I didn’t like this at all. It doesn’t sink into my skin, it just sits on top of it, it’s super oily looking (and I have dry skin so it’s hard to make me look greasy and shiny!). I just really hated the way it made my skin look! I tried shaking it more because I thought it was due to the product separating but even with a sponge, brush, shaking and a magic wand, it still looked crappy. Not a fan.

NYX Total Control Foundation – I’m not going to say anything about this foundation other than TEXTURE! I have a full review of this on my blog so I’m going to link that here – https://insidethemakeupdrawer.wordpress.com/2019/01/19/full-review-nyx-total-control-foundation-pale/

Milani Conceal and Perfect Foundation – I didn’t think this was the worst foundation. Coverage is amazing and it makes you look like a wax model. But the way it feels on my skin I really didn’t like! I found it way too thick and I could feel it clinging to me. Not nice! I have a full review of this on my blog too, so I’ll link that here too! https://insidethemakeupdrawer.wordpress.com/2018/12/20/full-review-milani-conceal-and-perfect-2-in-1-foundation-and-concealer/

NYX Pore Filler – This Primer does nothing. If anything it exaggerated my texture and I found it rolled all of the other face makeup into little lumps on my skin. Looked horrid, would not recommend! I would much rather use Maybelline Baby Skin Primer for reducing the size of my pores!

No7 Blush (Honey) – I actually don’t hate this product. It’s nice! It’s just not enough for the heavy blush queen that is me! I need pigment, I need it popping! This is very natural. I thought it would be a better contour shade, but it is a little too pink for it. It is just a very subtle blush. But my sister would love this, so I’m going to give her this as she loves a sheer, minimal blush!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Sorry for the negativity! I am lucky though that most products I try I really like. But there will always be some duds!

Thank you so much for reading!
