Full Review | Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes Palette

My grandparents insisted on giving me some money for my birthday even though I tell them they don’t need to as I work full time. But they say tough…and I ain’t arguing with them! They are tough cookies! So I thought I would treat myself to a palette I have been DYING to try, and that I have been swatching in Debenhams for ages! That’s right…Too Faced, you have excelled yourself!

I love the colour selection and how you can wear a warm brown look, sultry dark brown smokey eye, or a brightening coral eye! The looks are endless! I think my favourite shades in this palette is Just Peachy and Peach Cobbler. Just Peachy adds a fun little twist to a basic warm transition shade, which I really like. And Peach Cobbler is so unique! It’s like a coral warm brown! I’ve not seen anything like it as on the eye it comes off more coral whereas in the pan it looks more brown! It’s lush! Oh and did I mention this whole palette smells like peach!! Mmmmmmm!!

The formula is great, super smooth and buttery! The shades are gorgeously pigmented too! And they blend into nothing so easily! I normally apply them over my MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot and it works a treat! I have done all sorts of looks, from a cut crease (and layering a concealer base over the top of these do work well, and the shades do blend over it and under it wonderfully) to a full on dark smokey eye! I find these will be super flattering on pale brown, green and blue eyes as they illuminate the complexion and make the eyes appear brighter! However if you have chocolatey eyes, this will also make your eyes shine like something else! Very versatile!

The only down side I found to these was the longevity. They are so soft and so buttery that they do tend to fly away off the eyes after a few hours wear. Not completely, but enough to look less bright as they did before. They do wear off evenly, but I think it’s down to blinking and then the pigment disperses a little. I get about 4/6 hours wear until they start fading. And by the end of the day they do still look even, just not as intense as they were in the morning. Especially the paler shades! I did a cut crease with Peach Butter and it ended up making the cut crease look less definite and crisp after about 5 hours.

These are the following looks I created with this palette! And I really am so impressed with how they all work together so cohesively!

Peach Tea, Peach Cobbler, Peach Tart
Peach Sangria, Just Peachy, Peach Meringue, Just Ripe
Peach Butter, Peaches and Cream, Peach Punch, Peach Sangria
Peach Butter, Peaches and Cream, Fresh Picked
Chocolate Dipped, Peach Tea, Peach Meringue
Chocolate Dipped, Peach Punch, Peach Butter
Just Peachy, Fresh Picked, Peach Tea
Peach Punch, Just Peachy, Just Ripe

All in all I really like this palette. The longevity of this palette, however leaves more to be desired. I think the shadows are just TOO buttery and soft, if that’s a thing. So they just blend away on the eye as you blink. But certain shades last longer than usual. For example Chocolate Dipped and Peach punch last a lot longer. The shades Just Peachy and Peach Butter do not last particularly well. However they are gorgeous eyeshadows and if you provide a tacky enough base, they do last an alright amount of time. And they do wear evenly. So when they do wear off it isn’t done patchily. Which is a bonus

I hope you enjoy this post! I loved reviewing this palette and loved the looks I could create with this!

Thanks so much for reading! 💛✨
