Lyric Inspired Makeup #2 | Vincent (Starry, Starry Night) by Don Maclean

I as inspired when listening to Poison Prince by Amy MacDonald to do makeup inspired by the song. So I thought, instead of doing the actual makeup look the artist wears in the music video, what about makeup that this song inspires you to wear! So this is the series! And I hope you enjoy it! Any song recommendations, leave a comment!

If you know me you know I’m a massive art geek, I have a sleeve and half of my chest based off artists I love. Including Starry Night on my shoulder/chest. This is probably my favourite painting and when I heard this song, dedicated to the soul of Vincent Van Gogh I had to do a look!! His soft voice and the acoustic vibes of this song made me want to do it with soft blended eyeshadow underneath some bold liner work. To be reminiscent of delicate voice but the bold lyrics. Click the link below to listen to the song, it’s so gorgeous!

I started the look with a base and this time I used MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot. I then went into my Morphe 35B palette. And went into the shade Sunshine on my inner corner and inner third if my eye. Then with a fluffy brush I went into Deep Dive from the same palette and blended that over my eye lid and into my crease. The for liner work. I went into my NYX Vivid Brights Eyeliner in the shade Halo and lined out a moon shape on my inner corner. Then applied feathered lines and dots to fade the look out. Then I went into the NYX Vivid Brights Eyeliner in Escape and did the same, except not touching the moon. Then with my BHCosmetics Eyelights I used the shades Gnarly and Chill Pill to do a similar effect with dots and lines, but over Deep Dive. For the centre of the moon I applied the BH Cosmetics Eyelight in Gal Pal to fill it in. For the lower lash line I applied Denim and blended Deep Dive over the top. I then used my Benefit Roller Liner to create a pretty wing. Then I used my NYX White Eyeliner for dots throughout the look. Then I applied some soft eyelashes and my Essence Lash Princess Mascara in the False Lash Effect version, and applied that on my upper and lower lashes! Ta Da! The look is complete!

I loved how creative the look was! It was so fun to create something that inspires me and that I love and get to see on my shoulder every day πŸ˜‚

I hope you enjoyed this look!

Thank you so much for reading! πŸ’›βœ¨
