Lyric Inspired Makeup #4 | Famous by Skillet

I was inspired when listening to Poison Prince by Amy MacDonald to do makeup inspired by the song. So I thought, instead of doing the actual makeup look the artist wears in the music video, what about makeup that this song inspires you to wear! So this is the series! And I hope you enjoy it! Any song recommendations, leave a comment!

This is my go to song I will listen to before I go on a long run. The beat to this song can easily match my pacing so it is such a good song to run to! It is a song all about believing in someone/something and wanting to make live famously among us. I was inspired by the line “Neon lights, my eyes are blinded by your glow” for this look. I started this look with a base, this time I used NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil In Milk. This is because it’s a lot thicker so would be able to make the vibrant colours stand out more! I then went into the Sugarpill Eyeshadow in Mochi and applied that all over my lid. Then used my LA Girl Shockwave Eyeliner in Black Out to the upper lash line and then went into the Sugarpill Eyeshadow in Velocity to blend the black out so it was just a deeper shade of blue. To blend Mochi and Velocity I took the shade Kim-Chi and blended the edges out. I then took my LA Girl Shockwave Eyeliner In Fresh to create a line of “glow” along the crease. This will act as the “light” from the “neon light” effect. I then blended this out with Mochi. I then took my NYX White Liquid Eyeliner to make the neon light “a bulb” effect, making sure this was the lightest part of the eye. I then went over the edges of that with Jeffree Star “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” on the inner corner and waterline! And then went into NARS Hardwired Eyeshadow in Ecstasy on the inner corner and brow bone! For added sparkle! Make sure you wet these eyeshadows as they apply so much brighter when they are wet! I then applied Velocity and Kim Chi to the lower lash line! And blended the edges of the eye with Mochi, for a flawless edge! Finally I applied mascara and the look was complete!

Neon eyes are a lot harder than expected πŸ˜‚ this was my second attempt, you should have seen my first attempt! God damn!

I hope you enjoyed this look!!

Thank you so much for reading! πŸ’›βœ¨
