Movie Makeup #4 | “The Bearded Lady” from The Greatest Showman

For the next series I’m doing is to be Movie inspired makeup! Now I have a lot of love for horror films, so these won’t ALL be super cute girly and wearable makeup looks! However there will be character inspired makeup looks as well as themed and gory ones! It gives me a chance to be super creative, which was the whole reason why I started getting into makeup! So if you have any movies you’d like to recommend let me know, a this is as much your series as my series too! And you won’t want to just deal with my favourites! Which can sometimes be quite obscure haha!

I absolutely love this film. It is such a feel good film, and has everything from humour, incredible sound track, catastrophe and loveable characters. Funny story, when I was really poorly last year, I was crying and felt so miserable, and my boyfriend sighed helplessly, got out of bed and went over to my dvds. And before I knew it I neared the “Whoa” and his response was “I didn’t know what else to do and I know this cheers you up”. Bless him. My favourite character and voice in this film is Lettie Lutz, played my Keala Settle. Her voice is powerful and emotive and carries vulnerability. And I love that. So had to recreate her makeup in this.

I started with my base and this time I used my MAC Paint Pot in Painterly. I then went into my Mini Breaker palette because all the colours bar a black were in this palette, which was great because I could have a play and do this look; kill two birds with one stone! I stated with Double Scoop and placed in my inner corner and blended that half way into my crease. I then took Orange Crush and worked that next to Double Scoop and blending that further in. Then I took Bite Me and placed that on the outer two thirds of my crease and blended that with Orange Crush. Over the top of Bite Me, I applied Oral to get that intense shimmer over the purple. She definitely wore mostly shimmer, even in the crease. And then took Slice all over the lid. I then grabbed my Carbon Matte eyeshadow from No7 and blended that into the outer V and into my crease slightly. I took Slice under my eye and into the inner corner. And then outlined my upper lash line with my Too Faced Better Than Sex Liquid Liner. Then I applied mascara and my Ardell Faux Mink 811 lashes. And the look was complete!

I hope you enjoyed this look! What do you think of The Greatest Showman? I absolutely love it!

Thank you so much for reading! 💛✨
