I was inspired when listening to Poison Prince by Amy MacDonald to do makeup inspired by the song. So I thought, instead of doing the actual makeup look the artist wears in the music video, what about makeup that this song inspires you to wear! So this is the series! And I hope you enjoy it! Any song recommendations, leave a comment!
This song is so beautiful, and has so much imagery in the lyrics. To me it is about loosing someone and reminiscing about having them still there even if you need to help them. The lyric “If only yesterday, took place tomorrow” is the reason I think this, and it is probably the sweetest lyric, because when you lose someone you just want the days to replay themselves or go slower. Beautiful song, I’ll link it here so you can listen to it!
I started this look with a base, this time I use my MAC Paint Pot in Painterly. I then went into Maasai from the Juvias Place Tribe Palette and blended that all around my eye, into the crease and inner corner. Just so I get that haze of neon around the eye. I then went into Spark from the Colourpop X Kathleen Lights Dream St. Palette. And I blended that on my lid and going back into Maasai to get a soft blend. Under the eye I took Spark and applied that on the outer and inner third of the lower lash line. Back into the Tribe Palette, I applied Kirk on the centre of my lower lash line. I then wanted to deepen the corners so took my Sugarpill eyeshadow in Love+ and applied that on the inner and outer corners of both lash lines. I then took some glitter (I was a rebel as it’s not eye safe so wouldn’t recommend doing that, but I live on the edge 🙈) and I applied that over the top of Koro and further down, slightly onto the cheek. And grabbed one of the little hearts and applied that on the centre of my eyelid. I lined my upper lash line with my Too Faced Better Than Sex Liner, giving an angular appearance in the inner corner. And then applied my Eylure 143 lashes. Then mascara and the look was complete!
I hope you enjoyed this look, I absolutely love the glitter and colour scheme!
