Lyric Inspired Makeup | Lost On You by LP

I was inspired when listening to Poison Prince by Amy MacDonald to do makeup inspired by the song. So I thought, instead of doing the actual makeup look the artist wears in the music video, what about makeup that this song inspires you to wear! So this is the series! And I hope you enjoy it! Any song recommendations, leave a comment!

This was another recommendation from my boyfriend…yes he influences a lot of my music taste! He was excellent recommendations though! So he showed me this and safe to say I was obsessed! Her voice has vulnerability and pain which is influences the lyrics so beautifully. The words older, plainer, saner makes me think of it being about a lover of hers, probably mentally unstable, a little reckless and the though of growing older with them gives an air of fear of if they will remember why they were in the relationship all together. They can’t rely on their looks anymore, so they have to think about the deeper reasons of what holds their relationship together, It doesn’t mean that relationship is failing, just challenged currently. I started with a base, this time I used my MAC Painterly Paint Pot. And then went into the Desi and Katy Friendcation Palette from Dose of Colours. I blended the shades Dirty Money and Necessary into my crease for a neutral smokey eye so it would detract from what else I have planned. I grabbed my Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Jawbreaker and outlined some tears falling from my eyes. I then grabbed My Sugarpill eyeshadows in Velocity and Kim Chi over the top of the Liquid Lipstick. I then took some glitter glue and a gorgeous fine turquoise glitter to the inner corner! You can see how gorgeous it looks in the light! Very complimentary! I then used my NYX White Eyeliner to add some dimension to the tears. Then lined my upper and lower waterline with my Clinique Quickliner for Eyes in Intense Ebony. I then lined the upoer lash line using my Smashbox Always On Liquid Eyeliner! I then applied my Ardell 811 lashes and cut up a pair of eBay lashes for my lower lash line. I then applied my Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara and the look was completed!

I hope you enjoyed this blog post! Let me know if you’ve heard this song before, and what you think!

Thank you so much for reading! 💛✨
