Lyric Inspired Makeup | Into The Flood by Anaria

I was inspired when listening to Poison Prince by Amy MacDonald to do makeup inspired by the song. So I thought, instead of doing the actual makeup look the artist wears in the music video, what about makeup that this song inspires you to wear! So this is the series! And I hope you enjoy it! Any song recommendations, leave a comment!

This weekly suggestion feature on Spotify is finding my some golden songs! This week I was scrolling and found this. Naturally being a weather geek anything to do with rain, flooding etc catches my eye. And I put this on it it was so empowering! It had an element of Nightwish but then merged with the sweet vocals of Against The Current! If that make sense! I absolutely love it and have been listening to this song non stop! I’m one of those binging song type people, you know, who listens to a song until they get bored. Those annoying people, yeah, that’s me! 😂

I started the look with a base, this time I used Colourpop Supershock eyeshadow in REM. Which is the star of the show, it’s an absolutely stunning cornflower blue with lavender sparkles! I then applied Soul from the ABH Norvina Palette and applied that into my crease and the lower lash line. I then loved the lavender sparkle REM gave me and wanted to add a little bit more, so took the NARS Hardwired Eyeshadow in Lunar and popped this, dry, over the top of REM to set it but not be so purple that the blue didn’t shoe though, and I loved the effect I got with this! I wanted a hint of green in the inner corner so took NARS Hardwired Eyeshadow in Ecstasy, one of my favourites! And that gave me the desired look I wanted! Finally I added lashes, the Eylure Accent Fluttery ones from their recent Lash Edit! Which gave just enough lift to the look without stealing the show from that Supershock shadow! Finally I applied mascara and the look was complete!

I really feel this look is how I imagine flood water looks under the silvery moonlit sky! And that was what inspired this look!

I hope you enjoyed the look! Have you tried REM by Colourpop? If you haven’t you should! It’s so unique and beautiful!

Thank you so much for reading! 💛✨
