First Impression | Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Pressed Powder

I had wanted to try this for ages!! And casually started to discuss products I wanted to try with my best friend! And have me one of her back ups to try! I was speechless! Her generosity is beyond anything else and I couldn’t wait to try it!

First of all the packaging! Good lord I have never seen a pressed powder look so luxury and beautiful! The embossing around the powder and the gorgeous rich colour of the compact! Even the mirror feels boujee! It’s even fancier than my Hourglass one I love so dearly!

The powder itself is finely milled and is stated as a micro-powder which I entirely agree with! It is so velvety and buttery! So soft and silky! Unlike any texture of pressed powder I have ever tried! It sets the skin, mattifies a little while still leaving luminosity. If that makes any sense! It looks so natural and skin like! Over application is normally something I suffer from, but I could over apply and wouldn’t look gross and textured! It almost has blurring properties! More pore minimising than any primer I have used! Just a delightful powder!

As you can see I have set skin but I don’t look cakey and flat! I still look radiant and my skin looks like skin which is wonderful! It lasted wonderfully on my skin but powders don’t usually disperse on my skin as it’s dry! So I can’t comment how it would be for an oilier complexion. But for me, I still had set under eyes after 9 hours of wear! Which was impressive! Even my trusty Kiko Radiant Baked Fusion Powder (my all time favourite) breaks up around my eyes and nose after 8 hours! This picture was after 4 hours wear, and my nose still looks great as does my under eyes!

Two cons with this product! The shade range is abysmal! 3 shades…not good enough if you ask me! Not in the slightest bit inclusive which I found very disappointing! The price is also gulp worthy! Β£34!! Which is ridiculous…I know! But I’ll be entirely honest, it is a beautiful powder! And had my friend not given it to me I was willing to try it as I knew how good it was and had seen it on her and loved her skins appearance!

All in all I love this powder! I would, when in a better financial situation, repurchase once run out! It is incomparable to anything else I’ve used! A delight to use! And a delight to see on the face! Well worth the investment if you have the money!

I hope you enjoyed this blog post! Have you tried this powder? If not what is your current favourite?

Thank you so much for reading!
