Foundations are a product that I go through phases with! Mainly because there are not that many good ones for a cheap price. I think I had two, before these that I liked! And they were the Revolution Conceal and Define and The Ordinary Coverage Foundation, And I am so picky, as I like either a fully smooth matte finish, or a hydrated dewy finish. There is no in between! So I was naive to think there was not any decent ones at a cheap price. But I also love higher end foundations. They have great ingredients and feel very luxe and special on application. But my bank balance is very sad right now, as I can’t work as I’m poorly. So my budget, when I can afford to buy something, needs to be cheap. And I think I did it. I found some GEMS!
itCosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ VS Maybelline Dream Urban Cover – When I say the finish of these are similar, I mean, this is probably the best dupe I have ever tried. Not just foundation dupe, but overall dupe! It’s so good! The textures are slightly different; the Dream Urban Cover is slightly thinner, whereas the Your Skin But Better is a bit more whipped! However the coverage you get, the glow you get are one phenomenal! I do actually prefer the tone of the Maybelline one as it has a slightly more yellow undertone for me, but I adore them both, and if you are after one of them I’d say try the Maybelline as you get the same effect, for a fraction of the price!
Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Foundation VS MUA Pro/Base – I bought the Fenty Foundation in Harvey Nichols in Edinburgh and felt super fancy. And I tried this, even though I saw mixed reviews on this product. But I have to say I REALLY like it. The undertone is perfect for me, the coverage is lovely and it is matte without clinging to my dry patches! I then went into Superdrug when I got paid (when I was actually employed) and saw the MUA Pro Base on sale and picked it up without knowing much about it! And when I tried it, I was shocked how IDENTICAL the finish and coverage was to the Fenty! Beautiful undertone, lovely coverage, didn’t cling to my dry patches while remaining matte! I actually had to check which I had put on the back of my hand, as they were both in my makeup bag! And realised I had used the spatula on application so knew it was the MUA one! I was shook to my core! I picked this foundation up for £3.33! And it was perfection! If you didn’t like the Fenty one, I doubt you’ll like this. However if you did like it, give this one a whirl!
And those are my foundation dupes and they are good’uns! If you picked up the high end ones, you’d be looking at over £50 worth of product! For the dupes, you are looking at around £15! I can’t even!
I hope you enjoyed this blog post! Have you got any foundation dupes worth mentioning? I love the NARS Sheer Glow most of all, so if you have a dupe for that, let know!
Thank you so much for reading!!! 💛✨
