The LookFantastic Advent Calendar 2019

Last year I bought a coffee advent calendar. I feel like I have one upped my advent calendar this year…and then some! My mum was trying to figure out what to get me for Christmas and I mentioned that I’d love this if I had the money and she was like, hey, I can help you out to buy this! And so we went halves! And I get over £400 worth of stuff!! Which is so exciting!

First off the presentation is absolutely amazing. It feels sturdy and luxe feeling while still being accessible and not too heavy! It’s made from a luxury cardboard feeling and the drawers vary in sizes and placements, i.e. it’s not chronological, which adds to the excitement in my opinion! Trying to find it!

You get a multitude of products from skincare, makeup, haircare and body care! Which is super exciting as I’m delving more and more into the world of skincare with the help of the skincare goddess that is my sister. And slowly dipping my toe into hair care! Body care is always useful! And then makeup is my first love! So the fact we have variation is brilliant!

I’m now going to discuss the products we get in the calendar! Whether I would use it or if I could see someone in my life finding the product more beneficial! In which case I’d gift it to them!

Morphe 9A Palette – For the first product to receive in this advent calendar, a Morphe palette was pretty impressive. However it is very neutral, and I have a) a lot of neutral single eyeshadows and b) don’t wear neutrals very often! So I am gifting this to my “mother in law” for her birthday early 2020 with some brushes as she wants me to teach her to do her makeup!

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Styling Treatment – I have very short hair! And a lot of styling treatments have a tendency to just make my hair look greasy. So I have gifted this to my mother as she has longer hair and is very much wanting more volume. I have a lot of hair, despite it being short, so volume isn’t an issue for me!

Caudalie VinoPure Clear Skin Purifying Treatment – I have such intensely dry skin and purifying toners have a tendency to exaggerate that dryness. My sister however has oilier skin, and enjoys purifying treatments. So I’m gifting this to her!

Luxie Brushes (121, 141) – Now my advent calendar just had 2 of the same brushes, so I think that was a mistake. But to be honest, I’ll still use them and they feel like INSANE quality! So I can’t wait to have these in my brush collection and use them, as I love smoking out my lower lash line and that’s how I see myself using these brushes!

Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream – Oh. My. God. This was the main reason I wanted this calendar because it is almost worth the price of the calendar itself! 30ml! Of a joy of product that I’ve been dying to try. It’s supposed to be intensely hydrating and plumping so I cant WAIT to slather this all over my face!

Illamasqua Colouring Pencil – I am getting really into lip liners currently, and this is a colour I don’t have! It’s a nude pink and I usually go for browns for a “lip contour” effect. So this will be very good in my collection as I don’t have anything like it! So very happy to have this, and I am yet to try much from Illamasqua!

Rituals The Ritual Of Ayurveda Natural Dry Oil – Oils are the way to my heart currently! And this smells DIVINE! It smells super sexy and smokey so I can’t wait to try this to hydrate my skin. I might even convince my boyfriend to give me a massage with this!

Philip Kingsley Elasticiser – Like I mentioned previously hair stuff is a little pointless for my short, wild hair! So I am giving this to my sister because she has lovely wavy hair and I feel she would really benefit from this more than me!

Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel – I gifted this to my sister when I received it in my LookFantastic box and (kinda) regretted it because I heard so many wonderful things! So to receive this again made me super happy! I finally get to try it!

First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads – These would be a little too harsh and dry my sensitive and very dry skin out too much. So I am gifting these to my sister as she is more into exfoliation than me and her skin is a lot less crusty than mine! Lucky thing!

Avant Shea Butter and Moringa Moisture Surge Overnight Treatment – I received something from this brand previously in a LookFantastic box and have wanted to try more from it. But it is VERY expensive, so to receive an item from them, above all an OVERNIGHT TREATMENT (I bloody love an overnight mask!). Very very excited to try this!

Prai Throat and Décolletage Cream – My mum loves a throat cream! She’s conciliatory that this area is ageing so I’m gifting this to her, as she is nearly out of the Rodial one I gifted to her a few months back! She also likes Prai so I’m sure she will LOVE this!

Lord and Berry Eyeliner Pencil (Black) – You can never have to many black eyeliners in my opinion. But I am yet to try something from Lord and Berry that I have liked. So I hope this is successful!

Mellow Matte Liquid Lip Paint – My sister LOVES this formula, as I have gifted her one of these and she loved it! So I am gifting this to her as it’s such a her colour! And she likes the formula. And I am obsessed with my Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks so thought she would benefit from this far more than me!

Rodial Dragons Blood Lip Mask – I have never tried a lip mask so I’m very excited to give this a go! It sounds super hydrating and funky and my lips are my major problem area for eczema! So when it’s healed and I need a boost of hydration, I shall use this!

Molton Brown Fiery Pink Pepper Bath and Shower Gel – I love Molton Brown shower gels and how nice does the scent sound! I’m so excited to give this a go because I am loving the one I received in a previous LookFantastic box!

Emma Hardie Moisture Boost Vit+C Cream – I am starting to understand the benefits of vitamin c and blemish scarring so I’m looking forward to trying this. The Midas Touch Revitalising Cream I really enjoyed and I adore the Moringa Cleansing Balm. So I’m excited to try more from her!

Neal’s Yard Remedies Wild Rose Hand Cream – I am rubbish when it comes to moisturising my hands, so I have gifted this to my secret Santa. She’s been recently diagnosed with IBS through having a stressful job so accumulated stuff for a “pamper hamper” and this was in it!

BioEffect EGF Serum – I cant get over how expensive this is! But I have gifted this, which I received in a LookFantastic box, to my sister to try. So I’m excited to have one of my own as well!

Eyeko Lash Alert Mascara – Mascaras are always useful and I vaguely remember trying this, so I’m interested to see if I liked it or not! But my eyelashes are so stubby it is rare that they look voluminous and long. So I usually just wear falsies!

Delilah Brow Groom Pencil – Brow pencils are so useful and are slowly becoming my thing! So to have one in this was fantastic! I got through them so quickly that This will definitely benefit me!

BubbleT X Look Fantastic Salted Caramel Bath Fizzers – I am encouraged to take lots of baths to help my pain! So this will be lush to use and I could smell them as soon as I opened the calendar! Very excited to use these!

Filorga Meso Mask – I am delving more into this brand thanks to LookFantastic boxes and now this. I love face masks so I shall very much enjoy using this! It sounds like it’s going to be super hydrating, which I desperately need right now!

Sleek Highlighting Palette (Solstice) – I LOVE HIGHLIGHTERS! And yet to try this cult favourite in the beauty community! So I’m so happy to have this because I’ve heard it is literally incredible! And already own another Sleek highlighter palette and love that. So I have high hopes!

Omorovicza Queen Of Hungary Facial Mist – This was super special but I have decided to gift it. My best friend and I were talking and she said she was yet to try it. I have tried it and liked it. So I thought she deserved to have it as the way to both of our hearts is facial mists! So I thought she would benefit more from it than me!

And that is everything in the advent calendar! I got to keep a massive chunk of them and help bulk up Christmas gifts! My mum was happy that I gave stuff away, but I had to replace them with something in each drawer. So that is what I did! So I have lots of other stuff in the drawers where it was something I gave away! She knew money was tight this year so she said if it helps save me money for Christmas it was a great idea!

I really hope you had an amazing Christmas! So much love to you all! And I hope you enjoyed this blog post!

Thank you so much for reading! 💛✨
