So turns out small break was what I needed and I’m back in the game. The regime is not going to be an “as and when I can” kind of regime. I’m not in the best health, as I continually harp on about, so have really bad days where I can’t even get out of bed let alone write a post. Which doesn’t seem like a mammoth task really, especially when you enjoy it, but I can’t explain the weakness, fatigue and pain I get, like literally can’t put it into words. The girl who used to run 18 miles for fun now complains about brushing her hair and holding her phone for a selfie. It’s tremendously painful to mundane things. It’s ridiculous what this is doing to me. But a diagnosis is nearing, brain MRI tomorrow.
But anyway facial radiance pads. That is what we are talking about. Getting all the grime outta your face and revealing a goddess glow. What we all want right? Well I am sure you’ve heard about these bad boys, as they are a cult favourite amongst beauty bloggers. But I am yet to try them and wanted to see what the hype was about. I received them in my LookFantastic advent calendar and was super excited to give them a go. So I did!
First off the packaging is adorable. I am a sucker for aqua packaging and their logo gives me fifties vibes which I am here for! Nice and clear. They seal very well too so your aren’t going to have them dry out super quickly. And it isn’t a Pringles tube situation where it looks big and you get like half the amount (come on Pringles, fill up the damn tube!). Anyway we aren’t talking about crisps here, we are talking about facial radiance pads. Goodness me I’m getting off topic! FACIAL RADIANCE PADS! There we go. Yes, excellent job First Aid Beauty, these in appearance alone look very enticing to use!
They are pre-moistened (why does that word freak me out…). So you don’t need to get a toner, squirt it out and then rub it on your face, it is literally done for you. Grab a pad, wipe, jobs a good’un! They are slightly quilted which gives is a more luxurious feeling on the skin and might even help with exfoliation! I’m not a skincare expert but I believe having some raised bits might aid with removing dead skin. I don’t know. But I feel like when I use them I enjoy it!
They do not sting, which was a big thing to me. I have super sensitive skin and go red very quickly! And I also have very dry chapped skin so can get cracks in my brows and around my lips and nose and it anything stings, boy does it sting! But these felt like they were doing the job of exfoliating and toning, while being gentle. Which I really appreciated!
The picture on the left is my skin post cleanse, as you can see I have dry patches around my nose and forehead. Along with some dryness on my eyes but I’m not putting these ANYWHERE near my eyes! But I wiped it on my gcse and I felt it really worked wonders! It smoothed my complexion wonderfully, even reducing pore size which I have never seen before! It got rid of most of the dryness on my nose and all on my forehead! I just couldn’t get over the smoothing effect! It looks like I have one of those “my skin is perfect but secretly I have an app to fake it for me” filters on! Especially around my chin and mouth. It’s helped loads with the texture! So happy!
All in all I can totally understand the hype around these. They are fantastic. I have never seen my pores so small. Nor have I seen my texture improve so quickly and after a single use! Very very impressed!
I really hope you enjoyed this blog post! And didn’t miss me too much! 😉
Thank you so much for reading! 💛✨
