Full Review | Eyeko Lash Alert Mascara

So I received this in my LookFantastic advent calendar and was very skeptical as I was mildly annoyed when Eyeko, out of nowhere, doubled their price! I don’t know why, maybe it was ingredients or something but they go expensive all of a sudden! And went way out of my budget! So I was excited to see this, just to see if the price of the products made it worthy of the price tag!

The packaging is nice, I like the squeeze tube as it’s a bit different and it is less bulky and heavy as some, in my makeup back! It states it has lash enhancing properties which is super exciting as my eyelashes suck!

The formula is interesting, and I actually really enjoyed it! It isn’t thick and clumpy, in fact it doesn’t really provide much volume at all. But volume isn’t what I look for. I wand fluttery, wispy and long eyelashes. And that…that is what this does in bucket fulls! I feel like the formula, being so thin, coats the lashes just enough to enhance your natural lashes! Not making you look like you have false spidery lashes! A look I really do not enjoy on myself! It is almost like a “flex” formula, as they still bend and behave like lashes, they don’t become stiff and spiky. It also has a somewhat water resistant formula. I wouldn’t say waterproof, as it isn’t even advertised as waterproof, but I find it doesn’t run as easily as say, my Essence Lash Princess and Maybelline Total Temptation or The Falsies!

In terms of the lash enhancement, I have noticed my eyelashes are stronger. And they aren’t falling out as frequently! I also feel like they have a smidge more length to them. Maybe it’s a placebo effect, but I am going with it…my lashes are behaving for once!

All in all I enjoy this mascara a lot. The only thing I really don’t like about has nothing to do with the formula. It’s the price tag! I remember Eyeko when they did the “fat lash” mascara and “skinny lash” mascara. And I’m sure it wasn’t as expensive as it is now. But it’s annoying how much I like this mascara! I would absolutely repurchase if my funds ever allow it!

I really hope you enjoyed this blog post!

Thank you so much for reading! 💛✨
